New Illumina Inc. will launch its first cloud-focused healthcare service by the end of the year, the company announced on Tuesday.

Illumina, a unit of AstraZeneca Inc., will sell its first product to healthcare providers, such as hospitals and clinics, as part of a broader rollout of its cloud-centric offering, which aims to deliver better and more reliable services by using cloud computing and other technologies.

Illuminata is a cloud based healthcare service that will sell to healthcare firms and other businesses.

It will be available by the middle of the decade, according to the company.

The company said that it will make the first cloud services available to healthcare organizations in 2020.

The service will be delivered through a cloud platform that Illumina built with partners at Google Inc. and Oracle Corp., along with its cloud provider, Cloudant, which is backed by Intel Corp. and other partners.

The health-focused Illuminatum is one of the first commercial cloud-powered health care products from a healthcare company, the tech giant said in a statement.

The other is Illumina’s Illumina Cloud Platform, which Illumina co-founded in 2014.
